What are Homeopathic Remedies Made of? Homeopathic remedies are extremely diverse. Many homeopathic remedies are made from amazingly common recognizable substances (red onion, salt), but some remedies are quite exotic (gold, flu virus, toad). Roughly 80% of homeopathic remedies are made from plant sources. Quite a few remedies are also made from minerals, and salts. A few remedies are made from animals, and insects. The least amount of homeopathic remedies are made from disease material.

Many homeopathic remedies are common elements we know around us, and a few like the disease remedies are quite uncommon. If you’re alarmed or surprised by any of these substances, then just remember there is an extremely small and/or no original crude material in the remedies once they are processed. Some people will be concerned about the use of animals in homeopathic remedies. A few clients have specifically requested us to avoid recommending remedies made from animal sources. We, of-course, always comply with their wishes. But, just to note, homeopathic remedies are never tested on animals, only humans. And, more importantly the use of one individual animal or insect as a homeopathic remedy is enough to supply that remedy to millions of people. No matter how you look at this, we still use an animal to our benefit. But, one animal for the benefit of potentially millions of people is fairly conservative, except to that one animal, of-course. |
